Boosted games

What Boosted means

A game marked "Boosted" is a paid placement: its developer paid to show it in one spot for one week, on the home page, at the top of a genre page, or at the top of the new games list. The developer product is called "Boost this game". A Boosted spot always carries the visible "Boosted" label with a "Paid placement" explanation, and it sits outside the ranked lists.

What paying never changes

Paying never changes a game's organic ranking: the order of genre pages, top and trending lists, new games, site search and related games. Boosted spots are not inputs to that ranking.

Paying never changes what we return to AI agents. The MCP server, the API and llms.txt list the same games in the same order whether or not anyone has paid.

Buying ad-free removes our own ads around the games for your account. It does not change which games you see or their order.

How we check

Our test suite boosts one game in every spot and checks that agent search, trending, new games, similar games and llms.txt come back exactly the same, and that the ranking and agent code never read payment or placement data.
